Project rationale and expected impact

Unit 1
Project rationale and expected impact
The rationale behind the project is based on the lack of adequate sports infrastructure to meet the demand for physical activity in urban and rural communities.
The regeneration of schoolyards offers a practical solution to improve access to sport without the need to create new infrastructure, maximizing the use of existing spaces.

The expected impact is twofold:
- At community level: Promote social inclusion through sport, involving schools, sports associations and citizens.
- At the educational level: Increase the quality and quantity of physical education in schools, also stimulating non-formal learning.
